Oilers Split in Cedarville

Cedarville, Ohio – The University of Findlay softball split in their double header against Cedarville University on March 23. Findlay's record is now 11-13 on the season and 3-3 in the conference.

Game 1 | W 2-1 (Box Score)

In the first game against the Yellow Jackets, sophomore Dylan Wiley went 1 for 3 and recorded one RBI, while junior Rebecca Harvey went 1 for 4 behind the plate, and scored one run.

Senior Salwa Al-Hajabed batted in one runner, and junior Rachel Vander Roest scored one run for Findlay.

Senior Hailey Bryan pitched all seven innings for the Oilers, recording three strikeouts, and allowing five hits and one run.

Game 2| L 2-3 (Box Score)

Sophomore Devyn Zuro went 2 for 4 in game two while senior Amanda Delmonte went 1 for 4. Zuro and Delmonte scored one run each for the Oilers.

Sophomore Sadie Gearhart went 1 for 3 behind the plate, while Harvey went 2 for 4. Both Gearhart and Harvey recorded one RBI.

Sophomore Megan Fisher pitched seven innings, recording two strikeouts, one error, and allowing seven hits and three runs.

The Oilers are back in action on March 30 in Canton, Ohio where they will face Malone University in a double header starting at 1:00pm.
