Oilers Split with Senators

Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay softball split with Davis & Elkins in their double header on April 6. Findlay's record is now 14-14 on the season and 4-4 in the conference.

Game 1 | L 6-3  (Box Score)

In game one, sophomore Devyn Zuro went 2 for 4, scored on run and recorded two RBIs.

Freshman Madelyn Turner went 1 for 3, scored one run, and batted in one runner, while junior Allison Brunner went 1 for 4 and scored one run.

Senior Hailey Bryan pitched 4.2 innings for the Oilers, recording three strikeouts, and allowing six hits and six runs.

Sophomore Caragyn Yanek finished up pitching the last 2.1 innings. Yanek recorded two strikeouts, and only allowed one hit and zero runs.

Game 2 | W 11-7 (Box Score)

The Oilers finished out the day with a great win. Junior Rebecca Harvey went 2 for 2 behind the plate, scored two runs and batted in two runners.

Sophomore Dylan Wiley went 2 for 4, scored two runs and recorded one RBI, while senior Amanda DelMonte went 2 for 4, scored one run and recorded three RBIs.

Freshman Alyssa Laisure went 1 for 3, scored two runs and recorded one RBI.

Junior Rachel Vander Roest, junior Emily Barr, freshman Caroline Turner, and freshman Gloria Corona each scored one run for the Oilers.

Sophomore Megan Fisher pitched all seven innings for the Oilers, recording four strikeouts, and allowing 11 hits and seven runs.

The Oilers are back in action on April 7 in for their home double header versus Alderson Broaddus at starting at 10:00am.
