Oilers Softball Splits on Sunday

Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay softball split with Alderson Broaddus in their double header on April 7. Findlay's record is now 14-14 on the season and 4-4 in the conference.

Game 1 | L 2-0  (Box Score)

In game one, senior Amanda DelMonte, sophomore Dylan Wiley, junior Rebecca Harvey, and freshman Caroline Turner each went 1 for 3 behind the plate.

Hailey Bryan pitched six innings, recorded one strikeout, and allowed five hits and two runs.

Megan Fisher finished up pitching the last inning for the Oilers, recording no strikeouts, and allowing zero hits and zero runs.

Game 2 | W 9-1 (Box Score)

Wiley went 3 for 3 in game two, and scored two runs, while Harvey went 2 for 2, scored one run, and batted in two runners.

Delmonte went 2 for 3 and scored two runs in the win.

Sophomore Devyn Zuro, junior Rachel Vander Roest, junior Allison Brunner, and sophomore Savannah Harvey each scored one run.

Sophomore Caragyn Yanek pitched four innings to earn the win for the Oilers, recording eight strikeouts, and only allowing one hit and one run.

Freshman Carly Brandon pitched the final inning, striking out one batter, and allowing no hits and no runs.

The Oilers are back in action on April 13 in Pepper Pike, Ohio with a double header versus Ursuline College starting at 1:00pm.
