Oilers Record Several "B" Marks at Kenyon

Results

The University of Findlay men and women's swimming and diving teams completed the Kenyon Fast Chance on Feb. 22 in Gambier, Ohio.

On the men's side, Paul Pavala took home first place honors in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 1:49.05 and raced to an even better time in the trial at 1:47.86 to reach the "B" standard in the event and establish a new school record. He also took first place honors in the time trial of the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 50.33 and teamed with Tim Stollings, Jared Toaz, and Trent Williams to place first in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:38.93.

Toaz finished second in the 200 IM with a time of 1:53.66 while Stollings placed third in the 200 IM at 1:54.54 and also took seventh in the 100 yard breaststroke at 58.17. Toaz also finished fifth in the 200 yard breaststroke after touching the line in 2:06.61.

Isaac Stretch placed second in the 100 yard breaststroke at 55.85 and raced to a time of 55.08 in the time trial of the event, which was good enough to reach the "B" qualifying mark.

Alex Wisler was third in the 100 yard backstroke at 53.05 while Colin Martin took fifth in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 49.68.

On the women's side, Katy Kouvaris won the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 56.32 and raced to an even better time in the trial at 55.87, which enabled her to achieve the "B" standard in the event.

Kristina Coleman won the time trial of the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 54.12 and finished second in the 100 yard breaststroke at 1:06.41.

Chris McFarland won the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 56.72. McFarland had a better time in the 100 yard backstroke time trial at 56.04, which was good enough to reach the "B" qualifying mark.

Hanna Cederholm took third in the 100 yard butterfly at 56.70 and Payton Zess was fourth in the 100 yard backstroke at 59.06. She raced to a time of 57.83 in the time trial as well.
