Oilers Compete at Kent State Qualifiers
The University of Findlay men's and women's track teams competed at the 2019 Doug Raymond Invite in Kent, Ohio. on February 9.
Men
Senior Dequan Lovell threw for 19.04m (62-05.75) in the men's weight throw to earn second place and hit a provisional qualifying mark.
In the men triple jump, junior Martin Etsey had a provisional qualifying jump of 15.42m (50-07.25) to take third place.
Sophomore Jacob Hill earned fourth place in the men's 60 meter dash by running a 6.92.
In the men's pole vault, sophomore Gabe Makin took fifth place with a provisional qualifying vault of 4.75m (15-07.00).
Junior Lenell Shelby III ran a provisional qualifying time of 8.22 in the men's 60 meter hurdles to take fifth place.
Women
Junior Semoy Hemmings ran a 56.80 in the women's 400 meter dash to finish fifth.
In the unseeded women's pole vault, freshman Meadow Cromer came in fifth place with a vault of 3.53m (11-07.00).
