Oilers Compete at Adidas Winthrop Invitational
The University of Findlay track and field team competed at the 2019 Adidas Winthrop University Invitational on March 23 in Rock Hill, SC.
Men
Junior Lenell Shelby III ran a 52.93 in the Drew Franklin men's 400 meter hurdles to earn second place, while sophomore Seth Saylor ran a 55.50 to finish 14th.
In the men's pole vault, sophomore Gabe Makin placed second with a height of 4.75m (15-07.00), while freshman Ryan Stevens placed fourth with a 4.45m (14-07.250 vault.
Senior Jonathan Allen ran a 15:12.37 in the men's 5000 meter run to finish sixth, while junior Ty Gleason ran a 15:35.02 to finished 15th.
The men's A Squad placed seventh in the men's 4x100 meter relay by running a 42.14.
Junior Javian Martin placed eight in the men's discuss with a distance of 45.02m (147-08.00).
In the men's triple jump freshman Justin Dreyling jumped for 13.91m (45-07.75) to place ninth.
Dreyling finished 12th in the men's long jump with a 6.76m (22-02.25) jump.
Women
In the women's shot put junior Hannah Hahler earned fourth place with a throw of 12.85m (42-02.00).
Freshman Meadow Cromer placed fifth in the women's pole vault with a height of 3.45m (11-03.75).
The women's A Squad placed ninth in the women's 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:00.28.
In the women's 5000 meter run, freshman Gabrielle Lawrence ran a 18:43.86 to finish ninth.
Hahler finished 13th in the women's hammer with a distance of 46.55m (152-09.00).
