Wooster Invitational Results

The University of Findlay track and field team had athletes compete at both the 2019 Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla. as well as the Wooster Invitational in Wooster, Ohio on March 29.

At the Wooster Invitational, junior Javian Martin placed sixth in the men's hammer throw with a distance of 45.63m (149-08.00), while junior Austin Burkhart placed eight with a 43.23m (141-10.00) throw.

In the men's high jump, freshman Josh Steinbrunner jumped for 1.81m (5-11.253) to place sixth.

At the Florida Relays, freshman Xavier Marable hit a provisional qualifying mark with his 47.63 second run in the men's 400 meter dash. Marable earned a new personal record in the event, and now holds the fastest time in Great Midwest Athletic Conference history, and the sixth fastest time in NCAA DII this season.

In the men's hammer throw, senior Austin Combs had a provisional qualifying throw of 59.53m (195-03.75) to place 13th.

Junior Lenell Shelby III hit a provisional qualifying mark in the men's 400 hurdles with a time of 52.73.
