Combs Earns All-American Honors in Hammer Throw

The University of Findlay outdoor track and field team had several individuals compete during the first day of competition at the 2019 NCAA Division II National Championship on May 23 in Kingsville, Texas. The group was led by Austin Combs, who earned All-American honors in the hammer throw.

Combs finished as the runner-up in the hammer throw with a heave of 213'02. Combs, a two-time national champ in the weight throw during the indoor season, has now earned All-American honors in the hammer throw twice during his career.

Xavier Marable just missed out on earning All-American accolades in the 400-meter dash as he finished 13th with a time of 47.70 while Lenell Shelby III took 19th in the 400-meter hurdles at 54.16.
