Oilers Compete in Day One of the Flames Invitational

Results

Cleveland, Tenn.– The University of Findlay men's and women's track and field team competed today, Apr. 7, in day one of the Flames Invitational hosted by Lee University. 

Women's Results 

Competing in the women's heptathlon are sophomore Maddie Alexander and freshman Kassandra Stine. Alexander took third place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.63 seconds while Stine finished fourth with a time of 15.67 seconds. Continuing with the heptathlon, Stine finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.80 seconds while Alexander took fifth coming in at 29.69 seconds. Stine and Alexander finished first and third in the high jump. Stine finished tied for first with a jump of 1.52m (4'11.75") and Alexander finished tied for third with a jump of 1.49m (4'10.50"). In the shot put, Stine finished second with a throw of 10.14m (33'3.25") and Alexander finished fifth with a throw of 9.42m (30'11"). They will conclude the heptathlon tomorrow.  

Men's Results 

Competing in the men's decathlon is freshman Gabe Clement. Clement took fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.90 seconds. He came in fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.38 seconds. He took third in the long jump with a distance of 6.37m (20'10.75"). Clement came in seventh in the shot put, throwing 9.86m (32'4.25"). He took first place in the high jump with a 1.94m (6'4.25") jump. The decathlon will conclude tomorrow.  

The Oilers will be back for day two and three of the Flames Invitational on Apr. 8 and 9.
