Oilers Travel to Tennesse for Final Meet Before Nationals

Cleveland, TN- The University of Findlay Men's and Women's Track and Field teams sent athletes to Cleveland Tennesse to compete at the Lee University Last Chance Meet. This would be the last competition for the Oilers before the NCAA DII National Championship. 

Men 

Josh Verhoff took 6th place in the 200-meter dash with a finishing time of 21.35 seconds. The 4x100 team of sophomore Hassan Sesay, freshmen Dylan Reason, junior Josh Verhoff and senior Ethan Pensante finished 7th with a 41.45 second finish.  

Women 

Senior Michaela Butler took 9th in her 100-meter prelim race with a time of 12.08 seconds. Sophomore Kylie Ray finished 6th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.47 seconds. Ray would later take 1st place in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 1:01.48 which met the NCAA provisional standard. The 4x100 team of senior Michaela Butler, freshmen Nicole Fishpaw, freshmen Taylor Ivory, and sophomore Jordan Taylor took 3rd place with a time of 46.51 seconds which met the NCAA provisional standard. 

The Oilers will be back in action on Thursday May 26 in Allendale Michigan as they compete at the NCAA DII National Championship.
