The University of Findlay women's basketball team defeated rival Tiffin University 89-69 on Nov. 29 in Tiffin, Ohio. The win brings the Oilers record to 3-0 on the season.
The Oilers were led by senior forward Anna Hintz who put up 28 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks against the Yellow Jackets.
Senior guard Allie Thobe recorded a career-high 18 points to go along with seven assists and eight rebounds.
Senior guard Jenna Stegmaier was 8-8 on the floor to score 14 points, while senior guard Elissa Ellerbrock had eight points and three blocks.
The Oilers shot 55 percent (33-of-60) from the field and 53.3 (8-of-15) percent behind the arc and kept a 42-31 advantage on the boards. They forced 16 turnovers against the Dragons and were able to hold them to 38.5 percent (25-of-65) from the field.
The Oilers will be back in action on Dec. 1 when they travel to Cedarville, Ohio to take on the Yellow Jackets at 1:00 p.m.
