Oilers Beat Trojans | Earn Home Game in G-MAC Tourney

The University of Findlay women's basketball team secured a home game in the first round of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament with a 54-39 win over Trevecca Nazarene University on Mar. 2 in the Croy Physical Education Center. The win gives the Oilers a 20-7 record on the season with a 16-6 mark in the league.

The Oilers, who earned the fourth seed in the tournament, will host Hillsdale College on Mar. 5 at 5:30 p.m., shot 4.5 percent (22-of-53) from the floor and held a 45-32 advantage on the boards in their senior day win.

Senior forward Anna Hintz led the charge with 18 points, six rebounds, and three steals. She also made 7-of-12 attempts from the floor and drained two three pointers.

Freshman forward Bridget Landin came off the bench to provide eight points and six rebounds while senior guard Jaclyn Heath had seven points and three assists.

The Oilers, who held the Trojans to a mere 24.6 percent (15-of-61) shooting clip, also received six points and two blocks from freshman center Sydney Kin.
