Hintz Named Great Midwest Player of the Year

Senior forward Anna Hintz was named the 2019 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Player of the Year for her efforts this season. Hintz is the Oilers first women's basketball player to receive a Player of the Year honor during their time in NCAA Division II.

Hintz, who was also named first team all-conference, led the Oilers to a 20-8 record in 2018-19. She currently leads the league in scoring at 18.8 points per game and is the top rebounder in the conference at 8.5 per contest. She also leads the league in free throw shooting percentage (87.7%) and ranks second in field goal shooting percentage (50.3%).

Hintz racked up 525 points for Findlay in 2018-19, the fourth-highest total in school history. Her 239 rebounds is also the ninth-best mark in program history.

The North Fairfield, Ohio native finishes her career at Findlay ranked third all-time with 1,493 points. She also ranks second all-time in rebounding with 854.

Senior guard Elissa Ellerbrock was also named first team all-conference after producing 11.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game while senior guard Allie Thobe was named to the all-defensive team. Thobe averaged 8.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 2.3 steals per game for Findlay in her final season with the team.
