The University of Findlay women's basketball team fell 100-58 to 19th-ranked Walsh University on Jan. 25 in Canton, Ohio. The loss gives the Oilers a 10-9 record on the season with a 6-3 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).
The Cavaliers shot 56.8 percent (42-of-74) from the floor in the game and canned 13-of-26 (50%) tries from three point range. In comparison, the Oilers hit on only 37.3 percent (22-of-59) of their shot attempts while going 7-of-19 (36.8%) from behind the three point line.
Sophomore forward Bridget Landin paced Findlay with 15 points and nine rebounds while senior guard Lauren Ruth had ten points.
Sophomore forwards Sydney Kin and Paige Bellman nearly reached double figures with eight points apiece.
Mayci Sales led the Cavaliers with 23 points, seven rebounds, and six assists while Quionche Carter and Tyler Newkirk each had 20 points in the game.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Jan. 30 when they host Malone University at 5:30pm.
