Bio

Ken Brooks is entering his seventh season with The University of Findlay’s women’s basketball team in 2018-19 after 21 years as the head girls’ basketball coach at Pandora-Gilboa (Ohio) High School.  During his time at Pandora-Gilboa, Brooks accumulated an overall record of 267-191.

A 1972 graduate from Findlay High School, he played basketball and baseball and was a three-year letter winner in both sports.  In his senior year, he was selected as the Ohio Player of the Year in basketball.  He was also the catcher for the 1971 state championship team as well as for the American Legion baseball team that finished fourth in the 1972 national tournament. 

After high school, Brooks went to The Ohio State University on a basketball scholarship before transferring to Eastern Michigan University where he lettered three years.  Brooks earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education and health in 1977.

Brooks, who was inducted into the Hancock County Sports Hall of Fame in the spring of 2002, resides in Pandora, Ohio with his wife, Susan.  They are the parents of two children, Andrew and Kathryn.
