#9 Greyhounds Top Oilers

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team fell 20-8 to 9th-ranked Indianapolis on March 1 at the Armstrong Sports Complex. The loss gives the Oilers a 1-2 record on the season.

The Greyhounds outshot the Oilers 43-15 and held a 21-12 advantage in ground balls. They also held a 23-6 lead in draw controls during the game.

Sophomore Rachel Bornstein made 15 saves in goal for Findlay while sophomore Danielle Dilorenzo scored four of the Oilers eight goals.

Sophomore Madi DeVries, sophomore Ashleigh Lesser, senior Ciara Burud, and sophomore Adriana Santucci recorded the other goals for Findlay.

Senior Brittany Stephens, Burud, and junior Hallie Canfield each picked up three ground balls while Burud caused three turnovers.

Abigail Lagos led the Greyhounds with seven goals while Lauryn Hardoy scored six.

The Oilers will be back in action again on March 4 when they hit the road for the first time this year to take on McKendree University at 4pm.
