Kelly Voted Coach of the Year | Bornstein Wins Goalie of the Year

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team was rewarded for their stellar play during the 2022 season as head coach Allison Kelly was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Co-Coach of the Year while senior Rachel Bornstein took home honors as Goalie of the Year.

Kelly has led the Oilers to a 10-6 record this season with a 9-1 mark in conference play. The Oilers tied with Walsh University at the top of the conference standings, but lost out on the regular season title due to tiebreakers. Bornstein meanwhile was voted first team all-conference and has a 9-5 record on the year with 162 saves, the best mark in school history.

Seniors Allie Kasprzyk, Danielle Dilorenzo, Alyson Lillibridge, and Chloe Nottingham joined Bornstein as first team all-conference picks for the Oilers.

Kasprzyk leads the team in points with 56 and has 33 goals and 23 assists on the year. Dilorenzo is second on the team with 28 goals while Lillibridge and Nottingham have anchored the defense. Lillibridge has recorded 14 ground balls and caused 12 turnovers while Nottingham leads the team with 47 ground balls and 24 caused turnovers.

Freshman Olivia Alvarado, senior Kendra Lindell, sophomore Erin Kodger, and junior Amber Patterson all earned second team all-conference accolades while junior Izzy Murphy-Morrow was a third team pick.

Alvarado has scored 27 goals, Lindell has posted 17 goals and 118 draw controls, Kodger has picked up 14 ground balls and caused 13 turnovers, and Patterson has scooped up 30 ground balls while causing 16 turnovers. Murphy-Morrow meanwhile has scored 22 goals.
