Roughnecks Blast Battlers 37-11

The University of Findlay wrestling team opened the 2019 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship with a 37-11 win over Alderson Broaddus University on Feb. 1 in Tiffin, Ohio.

The Roughnecks scored five pins during the match as Ryan Skonieczny, Josh Wimer, James Wimer, Mark Trifelos and Armani Robinson each pinned their opponent in their respective weight classes. The Roughnecks also got a major decision victory from Michael Stewart and a win from Keigan Yuhas in the match.

The Roughnecks were scheduled to face Ohio Valley University on the first day, but the Fighting Scots did not make the trip to Tiffin. Findlay will return to the mat again tomorrow to face Lake Erie College, Kentucky Wesleyan College and Tiffin University.
