#9 Roughnecks Wrap NWCA National Duals

The University of Findlay wrestling program went 0-2 at the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Duals on Jan. 6 in Louisville, Ky. The ninth-ranked Roughnecks began the tournament with a 39-9 loss to top-ranked Central Oklahoma before falling 25-12 to 19th-ranked Mercyhurst.

Junior Branson Proudlock led the Roughnecks at the tournament by going 2-0. Proudlock, who is ranked second nationally in the 141-pound weight class, scored a 6-4 win over Central Oklahoma's Nate Keim before defeating Mercyhurst's Alex Samson 4-0. Keim came into the event ranked fourth nationally in his weight class.

Junior Hunter Reed, senior Keigan Yuhas, sophomore Nicholas Korhorn, sophomore Alex Esptein, and senior Justin West also picked up wins for the Roughnecks at the event.
