Findlay Drops Dual to #13 McKendree

Full Results

Lebanon, Ill.- The University of Findlay wrestling team traveled west to take on the McKendree University Bearcats for a midseason dual on Jan. 13. The Roughnecks, who have failed to win a dual this season, fell by a score of 29-6 to the thirteenth ranked Bearcats.

The day was highlighted with wins by sophomore Gary Nilson and senior Keigan Yuhas. Nilson, wrestling in the 165 pound weight class, took down Jordan Alcala by major decision to put the first points on the board for the Roughnecks. Yuhas, wrestling at heavyweight, grabbed three points for the Roughnecks with a 7-0 decision over Dustin Olmstead.

The Roughnecks suffered a one point deduction due to coach's misconduct.

Findlay will be back in action as they travel to Ashland, Ohio for the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship on Jan. 21.
