Women's Soccer Loses 2-0 to Wildcats

The University of Findlay women's soccer team lost 2-0 to Northern Michigan University on Friday, Oct. 9 at DeHaven Field in Findlay, Ohio. The loss gives the Oilers a 1-8-2 record on the season with a 0-5 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers had many opportunities in the first half but were unable to finish against the Northern Michigan Wildcats.  Senior captain Kendall Kwiatkowski led the team in shots with 4 out of 10 UF shots. Findlay gave up a goal in the 21st-minute of the game and again in the 36th-minute for a half time score of 2-0.

Findlay defense was led by senior captain Emma Owens.  Junior captain Kate Prewitt aided in the defensive line as well, with pivotal clearances for the Oilers. Sophomore goal keeper Bre Parrish takes the loss in goal for Findlay.

The lady Oilers play next on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 12:00pm at DeHaven Field against Michigan Tech University.
