Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay women's soccer team went up against Trevecca Nazarene University on Saturday, October 5 at DeHaven Field. For the second consecutive game, the Oilers shutout an opponent to get another victory with a score of 2-0. The Oilers move to 6-0-1 and 4-0-1 in the conference on the year while the Trojans move to 3-5-2 and 3-2 in conference play.

Senior Sierra Peacock highlighted the scoring for the Oilers on the afternoon. Peacock had a goal in each of the two halves. Her first goal came in the 28th minute off an assist from junior Paige Casto. Her second goal in the 48th minute was assisted by freshman Sam Francis. Peacock ended the game with a game-high 4 shots taken.

The Oilers took a total of 8 shots in the contest compared to Trevecca's 6. Along with Peacock, freshman Jayla Campbell had three shots and Francis had one.

The defense for the Oilers remained solid as they have been all year. This marks their fourth shutout victory in seven games. Junior Nicole Burke saved three shots on the afternoon.

The Oilers will be back in action Thursday, October 10 at home against Cedarville University. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start.
