Tischler/Schuster Headline Oilers All-Conference Awards

G-MAC Release

Findlay, Ohio - On Thursday, Nov. 3, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced the 2022 Women's Soccer All-Conference selections for this season. Findlay received three all-G-MAC pics and also had the league's Elite 26 Award winner. Junior Ellie Tischler earned first team all-G-MAC junior Alyssa Stark and junior Kennedy Slovak took home third team honors. Senior Nikki Schuster has earned the Elite 26 Award.

Elite 26 Award

The Elite 26 Award is given out in every sport to the single player whose team earns a berth in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship Tournament and has the highest cumulative GPA. Findlay's Nikki Schuster takes home the distinction as he has posted a 4.0 GPA as an Education Major. Schuster battled injuries this season but, in her career, she has played in 68 games for the Oilers and started 45 times. Schuster has now earned the leagues' top academic award in back-to-back seasons as she was the Elite 25 Award winner last fall.

First Team

Junior Ellie Tischler had a breakout campaign this fall as she became one of the top offensive threats in the conference on her way to picking up the first all-G-MAC award of her career. Tischler, a Lebanon, Ohio native, scored a team-high eight goals this season which ranked sixth in the conference. She earned Athlete of the Week after scoring three goals in a week including two goals against Tiffin on Sep. 24. She had another two-goal game against Trevecca Nazarene on Oct. 19, part of a stretch in which she scored four times in three games.

Prior to this season, the junior had scored five goals in her career, two of which came as a freshman and three as a sophomore. She now has 13 goals and two assists in her time at UF for a total of 28 points. She has taken 74 shots including a career-high 40 shots this season.

Third Team

Junior Alyssa Stark adds to her list of awards with a third team all-conference selection this season. Last fall Stark was a first team all-G-MAC member and earned second team all-region and, in her first campaign last spring, she was named G-MAC Freshman of the Year. In 2022, Stark, a defender for the Oilers, started in 17 of the team's 18 games and anchored a defense that allowed just 18 goals this season, third-fewest in the conference.

Junior Kennedy Slovak is now a three-time all-conference selection as she adds third team all-G-MAC to her list of awards that includes a second team selection last fall and a first team pick last spring. Slovak appeared in 11 games this season, earning nine starts. In 900 minutes in the net, she tallied 41 saves and had a pair of shutouts. She has a career goals allowed average of just 0.84 and has made 154 saves.
