Bio

Michelle Rick is entering her second season as the Oilers head women's soccer coach in 2023.

In her first year at the helm, the Oilers finished the season with a 10-6-3 record and an 8-4-2 record in conference play. Findlay ended their season in the Great Midwest Tournament Semifinal at the hands of #13 Cedarville. The Oilers were present in multiple Midwest Regional Rankings throughout the year, reaching as high as seventh in the final ranking of the regular season. Rick coached three players to all-conference honors including one first team selection and two third team selections. Midfielder Ellie Tischler was named first team all-region by the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). She is just the sixth player in program history to earn the accolade.

Michelle came to Findlay after serving three years as an assistant coach at Marietta College. During her time as an assistant, Michelle was heavily involved in all aspects of the program- including game and practice planning, off-season training, recruiting, and fundraising. Rick holds a US Soccer C license and National Diploma from United Soccer Coaches 30-Under-30 program.

Prior to coaching at Marietta, she served as the head coach of the Ohio Galaxies Futbol Club in Dayton, Ohio where she worked with high school aged athletes, promoting the development of their soccer skills and fostering leadership and sportsmanship while pursuing progressively challenging competition.

A native of Beavercreek, Ohio, Rick played her collegiate soccer at Division I Wright State University, earning academic achievement recognition all four years.  She graduated Wright State with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences in 2015, before earning a Master's of Education from the University of Dayton in 2018.
