Tiffin, Ohio - The University of Findlay women's volleyball team was defeated by Ill.-Springfield on Sunday, September 22 in three sets, (13-25, 22-25, 22-25). The loss for the Oilers puts their record at 2-9 overall, while Ill.-Springfield improved to 8-4.
Setter Emily Annesser passed out 25 assists to go along with five kills and five digs.
Shelby Kin led the Orange and Black with 12 kills on a .290 hitting percentage.
Junior Alana Sundermann snagged 14 digs, which was a team high for the Oilers.
Findlay will be back in action on Friday, September 27 as they will host Ohio Valley into Croy Gymnasium in their first GMAC, (Great Midwest Athletic Conference), game of the season. The match is set to start at 7:00pm.
