Oilers Fall Twice on Saturday in Indy

The University of Findlay volleyball team completed day two of the Crossover on Oct. 19 in Indianapolis, Ind. The Oilers started the day with a 3-1 (25-11, 25-14, 21-25, 27-25) loss to Missouri S&T and then lost 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 25-12) to Saginaw Valley State. The losses give the Oilers a 5-15 record on the season.

In the Oilers match against Missouri S&T, senior Shelby Kin led the way with 16 kills while junior Rylie Pattison had 12.

Sophomore Emily Annesser racked up five kills, 13 assists, seven digs, and four blocks while sophomore Abigail Schroeder had 21 assists and three digs.

Pattison led the Oilers against Saginaw Valley State with seven kills while junior Alana Sundermann had a team-high ten digs.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Oct. 26 when they play host to Ohio Dominican and Gannon. The Oilers will face the Panthers at 1pm before taking on the Golden Knights at 5pm inside the Croy Physical Education Center.
