Oilers Win Seven Straight | Win 3-0 Against KWC

Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay volleyball team welcomed Kentucky Wesleyan to campus for a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) today Saturday, Sep. 24. The Oilers won 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-19). They move to 9-7 on the year and 6-0 in the G-MAC. They have now won seven straight games. Kentucky Wesleyan meanwhile falls to 12-2 on the year and 0-4 in the G-MAC.

The Oilers grabbed the momentum early and ran with it, hitting .329 on the match, picking up 39 kills and making 11 errors. On the other side, the Panthers hit .110 on the match, recording 30 kills and 20 errors.

Findlay was led by sophomore Journey Blevins who recorded 11 kills and hit .333. The back-to-back G-MAC Athlete of the Week also contributed five digs and one block.

Assisting Blevins wer seniors Norah Painter and Emma Meyer who both recorded six kills. Painter hit .188 while Meyer hit .857. Freshman Alana Pohlman contributed with five kills.

Freshman Emma White recorded 30 assists. 

Defensively, Ava Doster picked up seven digs. White also contributed seven digs. Pohlman recorded three blocks.

The Oilers will be back in action Tuesday, Sept. 27 as they take on the Malone University Pioneers in Croy Physical Education Center at 7pm.
