Oilers Run in Pre-National Cross Country Invite

Pittsburgh, PA – The University of Findlay men and women's cross country teams competed in Pittsburgh at the Pre-National Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, October 20. The women's team finished 23rd overall with 645 points and the men finished 18th with 487 points.

The women were led by freshman Gabrielle Lawrence who came in 19th with a finishing time of 23:13.

Matilda Jeruto came in 110th, crossing the finish line at 25:19. Shortly behind her was teammate Madilyn Greiner in 153rd in a time of 26:24.

Torrie Purdy came in 175th with a time of 27:01, London Moening was 188th at 27:58, Vannessa Goewert finished 191st at 28:16 and Maggie Kise crossed the line in 206th with a time of 30:18.

The men were led by Jonathan Allen who came in 80th with a time of 27:18.

In 86th, Austin Guthrie crossed the finish line in 27:22 and shortly behind him in 88th was Ty Gleason with a time of 27:23. Jack Adams finished in 115th in a time of 28:01 and Michael Taylor came in 118th with a time of 28:04.

Drew Toon finished in 155th place with a time of 29:11 and Ryan Kohout crossed the finish line in 176th with a time of 30:14.

The Oilers will be running again at the G-MAC Championship in Canton, Ohio on November 3.
