Oilers Finish Season At NCAA Midwest Regionals

Hillsdale, MI – The University of Findlay men and women's cross country teams finished out their seasons on Saturday, Nov. 17 in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Championships. In a cold and snowy race, the men finished 17th overall with a score of 444 while the women finished in 23rd with a score of 644.

Men's Results  

Jonathan Allen paced the Oilers by finishing in 71st place with a time of 33:40.3. Coming in next behind him was Ty Gleason who finished in 77th with a final time of 33:40.3.

Other runners for the Oilers included Austin Guthrie (34:00.3), Michael Taylor (34:01.9), Jack Adams (34:18.8), Ryan Kohout (35:46.7), and Drew Toon (36:53.3).

Women's Results

Gabrielle Lawrence, Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Freshman of the Year, was the first to cross the finish line for the Oilers. She came in 44th place with a final time of 23:13.4. Coming in next was Matilda Jeruto who finished in 103rd with a time of 24:30.8.

Other runners for the Oilers included Torrie Purdy (25:32.2), Madilyn Greiner (26:20.0), and Vannessa Goewert (27:07.1).
