Oilers | Lawrence Earn Academic Honors

The University of Findlay men and women's cross country teams were both rewarded for their success in the classroom as they captured All-Academic honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The women's team recorded a cumulative grade point average of 3.56 while the men had a 3.37.

Individually, sophomore Gabrielle Lawrence earned all-academic honors for the women's team.

In order for a team to qualify for All-Academic distinction, they must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction individually, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
