Oilers Teams Finish Fourth in Loaded Field at All-Ohio Collegiate

Cedarville, Ohio – The University of Findlay men's and women's cross-country teams traveled to conference foe Cedarville University on Friday, Sep. 16 to run in the All-Ohio Collegiate hosted by the Cedarville University at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course. Findlay's women took fourth out of 33 teams while the Oilers men finished in fourth in the event out of 29 teams.

Women (5,000-meter race)

Findlay's highest finisher in the 5k was sophomore Ava Beam who crossed the finish line fifteenth, clocking in with a time of 18:22.0, 44 seconds behind the leader, Cedarville's Alayna Ackley. Eighteen seconds later, Beam's teammate, junior Maya Hamsher, finished, securing 24th with a 18:40.4. Sophomore Reilly Cozette took 32nd with a time of 18:51.6.

Senior Megan Donoher also counted towards her team's standings as she completed the race in a time of 19:01.3 which was good for 40th. Freshman Sarah Reinhart rounded out Findlay's top-five with an 41st-place finish, clocking in with a time of 19:02.0.

Men (8,000-meter race)

Junior Noah Fisher was the Oilers' top finisher on Friday as he finished in second with a time of 24:19.8, sixteen seconds behind Walsh's Zach Kreft . Fisher's time today is the second best 8k time in program history, behind the record that he holds of 23:45 which he set in Oct. of last year. Close behind was senior Nick DeHaven who took fourth with a 24:27.4. Junior Jordan Foster finished seventh with a time of 24:35.2. The final two to contribute their place to the team score were sophomore Connor Hill (67th |26:02.0) and sophomore Colin Moats (84th | 26:18.6).
