G-MAC Names Four Oilers to All-Conference Teams

2023 Great Midwest All-Conference Teams

Mason, Ohio- The University of Findlay baseball team had four players earn all-Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) honors as the league office unveiled their annual postseason awards on May 10.

Seniors Cam Farrar and Anthony Kyle were both tabbed first team all-conference while senior Aiden Lao and freshman Casey Maruniak were voted third team.

Farrar is hitting .292 for the Oilers this season. He has set multiple program records, including 137 runs batted in, 57 runs batted in in a season, 14 homeruns in a season, and 30 career home runs. He also scored 41 runs, stole 11 bases, and hit nine doubles. Farrar carries a .982 fielding percentage.

Kyle finished the year with a 6-2 record on the mound. He posted a 2.96 earned run average and struck out 66 hitters in only 67.0 innings of work. His ERA is the fifth best in the league.

Lao has posted a .359 batting average to go along with 18 doubles, six home runs, and 41 runs batted in. He also scored 53 runs and stole 13 bases. His batting average is the 14th best in the conference. 

Maruniak has hit .325 on the season. He has recorded 11 doubles, three triples, five home runs, while recording 37 runs batted in. Maruniak has a .989 fielding percentage on the year.
