Jeremiah Jackson Earns Defensive Player of the Week

Findlay, Ohio - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced their football Athletes of the Week for the seventh week of the season on Monday, Oct. 18. Findlay junior Jeremiah Jackson earned Defensive Player of the Week following his standout performance in Saturday's 21-14 win over Ohio Dominican.

Facing the G-MAC's top passer, ODU quarterback Evan Ernst, with first place on the line, the Oilers needed their defensive secondary to step up in order to remain undefeated in league action. Step up they did. That unit was led by Jeremiah Jackson who would finish the game with six tackles, three pass breakups, and an interception. By game's end, Findlay, led by Jackson, had held the Panthers to a season-low in passing yards at just 165 yards.

This is Jackson's first Athlete of the Week award of his career.
