Benson and Besingi Named G-MAC Players of the Week

Findlay, Ohio - Following a 26-21 over the Tiffin Dragons last Saturday in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship, Findlay running back Brian Benson has earned G-MAC Offensive Player of the Week while lineman Ervin Besingi earned Defensive Player of the Week.

Benson, a junior tail back, was a spark plug in Saturday's win as he carried the ball 38 times for 244 yards. He also scored three touchdowns, all of which were in the first half of the game. His 244 yards were the eighth-most in a game in school history. He also became just the second running back at Findlay to have three 200-yard games in his career.

On the other side of the ball, junior Ervin Besingi continued what has been a standout season. Facing the top offense in the conference, Besingi recorded a season-high four tackles-for-loss, two of which were sacks. He also had a forced fumble in the game.
