Oilers Open G-MAC Play at TNU | KWC

The Oilers will open up Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play this week on the road. They will play Trevecca Nazarene University on Dec. 2 at 8:30 p.m. before facing Kentucky Wesleyan College on Dec. 4 at 3:15 p.m.

Series Information (Trevecca Nazarene)

The Oilers own an 11-0 lead in the all-time series against the Trojans dating back to the 2016-17 campaign when Findlay claimed an 85-63 win on the road.

The Oilers won three times against the Trojans last season. They won 80-73 at home to open the season, 80-56 later in December in Croy, and 71-37 on the road.

In the first home win, Tommy Schmock led the way with 17 points while Joey Edmonds had 14.

 In the second home win, Tommy Schmock paced the Oilers with 15 points, eight assists, five rebounds, and two steals while Nathan Bruns had 13 points and four assists.

In the road win, Nathan Bruns led the way with 14 points and five rebounds while Anthony Masterlasco had nine points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Series Information (Kentucky Wesleyan)

The Oilers hold a 9-2 lead in the all-time series against Kentucky Wesleyan dating back to the 2001-02 campaign when they fell 94-89 in the second round of the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Last season the Oilers came away with a pair of wins over the Panthers, winning 77-68 on the road and 95-65 at home.

In the road win, Tommy Schmock paced the Oilers with 17 points, ten assists, and seven rebounds while Nathan Bruns had 15 points and seven boards.

In the home victory, Andrew Owens paced Findlay with 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting.

Nathan Bruns added 19 points and eight boards while Tommy Schmock finished with 17 points, eight assists, and three steals.

Findlay

The Oilers are 4-2 on the season. Nathan Bruns leads the team with averages of 14.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

Anthony Masterlasco is also off to a good start with averages of 11.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest while junior guard Joey Edmonds (10.7) and senior guard Tre'Maine Gray (10.5) are also averaging in doubl efigures.

The Trojans are 3-2 on the year. CJ Penha leads the team with averages of 20.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.

Josh Price is also off to a good start and is averaging 17.8 points per contest while Chris Rogers is scoring 12.2 points per game.

The Panthers are 4-2 on the season. Ben Sisson leads four Panthers averaging in double figures at 16.0 points per game.
