Oilers Host East-West | Travel to Hillsdale

The Oilers will host East-West University on Dec. 15 at 7pm in Niekamp Arena before traveling to Hillsdale College on Dec. 18 for a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) contest at 3pm.

Series Information (East-West)

The Oilers will be playing the Phantoms for the first time in program history.

Series Information (Hillsdale)

The Oilers currently own a commanding 55-12 advantage in the all-time series against the Chargers dating back to the 1959-60 campaign when Findlay won 90-59.

The two programs split their regular season series last season with each team winning on their home floor. Findlay won 68-65 at home on a half-court, buzzer-beater by Tommy Schmock. The Chargers then defeated the Oilers 82-71 at home.

In the home victory, the Oilers shot 43.9 percent (25-of-57) from the floor while the Chargers converted 52.4 percent (22-of-42) of their field goal attempts. The Oilers came away with nine steals in the game as well and made 8of-18 (44.4%) attempts from behind the three point line.

Ethan Linder came off the bench to pace the Oilers with 15 points and four rebounds while Anthony Masterlasco had 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting.

In the road loss, the Oilers shot 50 percent (30-of-60) from the floor, but the Chargers connected on 58.8 percent (30-of-51) of their shot attempts.

Tommy Schmock led Findlay with 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting. He also added six assists in the loss.

Nathan Bruns had 13 points and four rebounds while Andrew Owens contributed 12 points and seven boards.

Findlay

The Oilers are 5-5 on the year with a 1-3 record in league play. Nathan Bruns leads the team with averages of 13.9 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while Joey Edmonds is contributing 12.1 points per contest.

Tre'Maine Gray and Anthony Masterlasco are also averaging in double figures at 11.4 and 11.1 points per game, respectively.

Not much is known about the East-West University men's basketball program.

Hillsdale

The Chargers are 8-1 on the year with a perfect 4-0 record in conference play. Patrick Cartier is their top player and is averaging 22.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 62.9 percent from the floor.

Austen Yarian is also averaging in double figures at 11.1 points per contest to go along with 6.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per outing.
