Oilers Travel to Walsh | Host Malone

The Oilers will be back in action this week as they travel to Canton, Ohio to take on Walsh University on Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. before hosting Malone University on Feb. 12 at 3:00 p.m. in Niekamp Arena.

Series Information (Walsh)

The Oilers hold a 26-11 lead in the all-time series against Walsh dating back to the 1964-65 campaign when Findlay came away with a 77-71 victory. The Oilers split their regular season series with Walsh last year with each team winning on their home floor. The Oilers fell 86-60 at Walsh before winning 93-63 at home.

In the road loss, Anthony Masterlasco led the Oilers with 17 points on 7-of-7 shooting while Tommy Schmock had 12 points and three assists.

In the home victory, Tommy Schmock led the way with 24 points as he made 6-of-9 tries from behind the three point line. Nathan Bruns also played well as he finished with 16 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Deven Stover came off the bench to provide 11 points as well.

Series Information (Malone)

The Oilers currently lead the all-time series against Malone by a 39-15 margin, winning the first meeting by a score of 86-63 during the 1959-60 campaign. The Oilers split their series with Malone last year, winning 80-77 at home before losing 89-83 on the road.

In the home win, Tre'Maine Gray paced the team with 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting while Anthony Masterlasco scored 15.

In the road loss, Tre'Maine Gray led the Oilers with 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting, which included a 4-of-6 showing from behind the three point line. Tommy Schmock also topped 20 points as he finished with 21 points and made 6-of-13 three point attempts in the loss.

Findlay

The Oilers are 14-6 on the year with an 8-4 record in league play. Nathan Bruns leads the team with averages of 14.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game while Anthony Masterlasco is averaging 11.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per contest.

Junior guard Joey Edmonds is contributing 11.6 points per outing and senior guard Tre'Maine Gray is producing 11.2 points per game.
