Ten Players on Honors Court Lead to Team Academic Excellence Award

Kansas City, Mo. - The NABC announced the recipients of the 2021-22 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court, representing outstanding achievement in the classroom by collegiate men's basketball teams and student-athletes.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men's basketball programs that completed the 2021-22 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2021-22 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. 

The Oilers basketball program earned the Team Academic Excellence Award with a 3.41 GPA and ten players were named to the Honors Court. Junior Andrew Owens (Business Administration/Management), senior Anthony Masterlasco (MBA), senior Brady Wildermuth (Education), senior Deven Stover (Exercise Science), senior Ethan Linder (Physical Therapy), junior Joey Edmonds (Business Administration/ Finance and Economics), junior Kameron McIver (Business Administration/ Management), junior Michael Kramer (Environmental Health, Safety and Sustainability), junior Nathan Bruns (Middle Childhood Education), and senior Tre'Maine Gray (Business Administration/Management) all were tabbed with the honor. 

Over 2,000 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and over 300 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2021-22.
