Oilers Fall to Dragons in Championship Match

The University of Findlay men's tennis team fell to Tiffin University by a score of 4-3 in the championship match of the 2022 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament on April 23 in Owensboro, Ky. The loss gives the Oilers a 12-12 record on the season.

The Oilers lost the doubles point in the match and claimed three victories in singles competition as freshman Dallas Ramsey and juniors Octavio Carrasco and Andrew Codita each won. Ramsey scored a 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 win over Matthew Weaver in No. 4 singles competition while Carrasco claimed a 6-2, 6-4 victory against Daniel Martinez Roca in No. 6 singles action. Codita meanwhile won by retirement at No. 5.
