Series Information (Malone)

The most lopsided series for the Oilers is against Malone, a series in which Findlay holds a 28-3 record. The Oilers have won seven straight against the Pioneers with the last loss coming in February of 2016. However, those games have not been blowouts as of those seven wins, six have come by less than ten points.

Series Information (Walsh)

Findlay has an 18-12 record against Walsh in their series which began in the 1983-94 season. Walsh has won four of the previous six meetings, but it was the Oilers who have the most recent victory, a 63-58 win last year in G-MAC quarterfinal action.

Findlay

After winning back-to-back games for the first time this season, the Oilers hit a speed bump last Sunday against Ursuline College in Croy, dropping that contest by a score of 68-62. Findlay looks to get back on track with a tough slate of games this week that have them pitted against two teams who would be G-MAC tournament qualifiers should the event begin today.

Findlay is eighth in the league in both scoring and scoring defense and has struggled with the turnover bug this year, committing 20.7 turnovers per game, the most in the league, while posting a turnover margin of -4.42 which is second to last in the league. To combat that, Findlay has been able to steal the ball, picking up more than eight steals per game this year which ranks fourth in the G-MAC.

Seniors Sydney Kin and Bridget Landin are the two leading scorers for the Oilers, averaging 16.7 and 9.3 points per game, respectively. The two also lead the team in rebounding at 9.1 and 8.6 rebounds.

Freshman Janae Hoying is off to a good start to her career and is scoring 7.1 points per game while senior Amber Schweiger is scoring 6.8 and senior Lauren Hapgood scores 6.4. Schweiger leads the Oilers at 3.6 assists per game and is one of two players, who see regular action, to have an assist/turnover ratio of more than 1.0. The other is Lauren Hapgood who has an A/TO ratio of 1.1.

Malone

Arguably the hottest team in the G-MAC over the first part of the season was the Malone Pioneers. Winners of seven of their first eight games, including a league win over perennial contender Kentucky Wesleyan, Malone looked to be a serious contender. Since that hot start, the Pioneers have lost four straight including three G-MAC losses.

Scoring 72.3 points per game, Malone is led in scoring by fifth-year senior Holly Groff,  a first team all-G-MAC performer last seaoson. Groff is scoring 15.6 points per game and leads the team with 29 shots made from beyond the arc. Robin Campbell is second on the team with 14.1 ppg while Alexis Hutchison scores 11.8 ppg.

Carter is fourth in the league in scoring at 18.3 ppg and is fifth with 9.0 rebounds per game.

Senior Mayci Sales and senior Morgan McMillen are each scoring in double-figures, chipping in 13.6 and 12.4 points per game, respectively. Sales is second on the team in rebounds as well at 7.3 per game while senior Lexie Scarton leads Walsh at 4.0 assists per game, third most in the conference.
