Women's Golf Qualifies for East Regional

The University of Findlay women's golf team has qualified for the NCAA Division II East Regional, which is slated to run from May 5-7 at the Joilet Country Club in Joilet, Ill.

The Oilers, who finished fourth at the 2013 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship, are seeded sixth in the regional tournament.

A total of nine teams and four individuals will compete at the event for a chance to move onto the 2013 NCAA Division II National Championship.

The top three teams from the region and the top three individuals not with a qualifying team will then advance to the championship.

Last season, Findlay's Brooke Albers qualified for the national championship after finishing fourth at the regional, which was hosted by the Oilers at the Findlay Country Club.
