Oilers Fall to Florida Tech

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team fell 19-8 to Florida Tech on March 2 in Melbourne, Fla. The loss gives the Oilers a 0-1 record on the season.

The Oilers struggled to gain possession of the ball all evening as the Panthers held a 22-9 advantage in draw controls and outshot Findlay 32-16.

Senior Allie Kasprzyk had two goals, four draw controls, and one assist while junior Izzy Murphy-Morrow posted two goals, two ground balls, two caused turnovers, and an assist.

Senior Danielle Dilorenzo had two goals while senior Mackenzie Cole and freshman Olivia Alvarado each had one goal apiece.

Senior Rachel Bornstein took the loss by allowing 19 goals to go along with seven saves.

The Oilers will be back in action again on March 4 when they travel to Lakeland, Fla. to take on 6th-ranked Florida Southern College at 7pm.
