Oilers Cruise Past Tiffin | Win 19-10

The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team defeated Tiffin University by a score of 19-10 on April 3 in Tiffin, Ohio. The victory gives the Oilers a 3-5 record on the season with a 2-0 mark in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.

The Oilers used a strong second half to put away the Dragons as they outscored Tiffin 10-3 in the final two quarters. Findlay attacked all game as well, outshooting Tiffin 42-22. They also held a 24-8 advantage in draw controls during the win.

Senior Kendra Lindell led the way with four goals, two assists, and 13 draw controls. Her 13 draw controls tied a school record. She now shares the record with Sarah Lankton and Nicole Stines. Lankton won 13 draws against West Virginia Wesleyan in 2013 while Stines had 13 against Wheeling Jesuit in 2014.

Senior Allie Kasprzyk, senior Danielle Dilorenzo, and junior Izzy Murphy-Morrow each had three goals apiece while freshman Olivia Alvarado, senior Adriana Santucci, and senior Mackenzie Cole scored two goals each.

Senior Rachel Bornstein picked up the win and made six saves for Findlay.

The Oilers will be back in action again on April 6 when they travel to Lake Erie College for a 4pm contest.
