Blevins Earns G-MAC North Offensive Player of the Week After Impressive Debut

Findlay, Ohio - On Monday, Sep. 13, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced its volleyball Athlete of the Week selections. In her debut week with the Oilers, freshman Journey Blevins has earned the G-MAC Volleyball North Division Offensive Player of the Week after a standout performance at the Nova Southeastern Invitational in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Blevins began the weekend with 16 kills and a .414 hitting percentage in a win over Millersville to start the event. That success continued as she led the Oilers to three wins while picking up 64 kills, 4.00 per set, and hitting .419 for the weekend. The Richwood, Ohio native was named to the all-tournament team for her performance.

In just her first week, Blevins already leads the conference in kills per set and ranks second in hitting percentage.
