Blevins Earns Second Consecutive Player of the Week Award

Findlay, Ohio - For the second consecutive week, University of Findlay volleyball freshman Journey Blevins has been named as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) North Division Player of the Week. The announcement was made by the conference office on Tuesday, Sep. 21.

Last week, Findlay swept through a pair of conference matches as they dominated both Walsh University and Malone University to open G-MAC play with a 2-0 record. Blevins was a major factor to those victories as she picked up 17 kills on Friday against Walsh and backed that up with 16 against Malone on Saturday giving the Richwood, Ohio native 5.5 kills/set for the week. Blevins currently leads the league in points per set at 4.59 and kills per set at 4.41.
