Blevins and Doster Earn G-MAC Athlete of the Week

Findlay, Ohio - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced its Athlete of the Week selections for the previous seven day period and in volleyball, the University of Findlay swept both the offensive and defensive honors in the North Division. Sophomore Journey Blevins picked up Offensive Player of the Week and sophomore Ava Doster earned Defensive Player of the Week after both helping lead the Oilers to a 3-1 week including an upset over #25 Gannon.

Journey Blevins was on fire this week, leading Findlay's offense with 71 points accounted for. The Richwood, Ohio native recorded 63 kills (4.5 per set), 29 digs, and 10 blocks. Her best game came against Mercyhurst where she recorded 25 kills in four sets and hit an impressive .352. This is Blevins' fourth career G-MAC Player of the Week honor and her first this season.

Earning Defensive Player of the Week, Ava Doster was critical to the Oilers' success this past week as she tallied 80 digs (5.67 per set) and four aces. This is Doster's first G-MAC Athlete of the Week honor.
