Cross Country Earns Academic Honors

The University of Findlay men and women's cross country teams earned all-academic honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Feb. 11. Programs must have compiled a cumulative GPA or 3.00 or greater and scored at an NCAA Division II regional meet to qualify for the award.

The men's squad earned the award by sporting a 3.11 grade point average. The women meanwhile accumulated a 3.60 grade point average to be selected for the honor.

Individually, freshman Taylor Bollinger and junior Erica Bettac were selected as all-academic picks.

Honorees must have compiled a cumulative GPA or 3.25 or greater and must have finished among the top 30 percent of total eligible runners at his or her regional championship (total Division II teams in the region multiplied by seven runners per team) or in the top half of the field at the NCAA Championships.
