Lawrence | Oilers Win Polar Bear Invitational

Results

The University of Findlay men and women's cross country teams won the Polar Bear Invitational on Sep. 4 in Ada, Ohio. The men won with 41 points while the women took first with 29.

On the men's side, sophomore Noah Fisher took second overall with a time of 18:12.4 to lead the way. Sophomore Jordan Foster and Freshman Kaden Harvey also secured top-10 finishes as Forster finished sixth with a time of 19:07.6 while Harvey took seventh at 19:07.8.

Freshman Zack Britton took 15th after crossing the finish line in 19:18.6 and freshman Dylan Hickey was 16th with a time of 19:19.5.

Freshman Tyler Knestrick (19:39.6) was 26th, sophomore Colin Moats (20:03.3) was 33rd, freshman Connor Hill (20:17.8) was 39th, and senior Dylan Hunter was 79th with a time of 22:03.0.

On the women's side, senior Gabrielle Lawrence won the race with a time of 18:28.3 while freshman Hailey Simmons, sophomore Maya Hamsher, sophomore Natalie Dayharsh, and freshman Ava Beam all secured top-10 finishes. Simmons was fourth with a time of 19:07.2, Hamsher was seventh at 19:13.9, Dayharsh was eighth at 19:24.5, and Beam took ninth with a time of 19:29.6.

Junior Meghan Donoher finished 15th at 19:58.5, freshman Reilly Cozette was 17th at 20:00.1, and freshman Sabrina Sciabica finished 18th with a time of 20:04.1.

Sophomore Hailey Wilson (20:38.7) took 25th, senior Matilda Jeruto (20:47.6) finished 27th, sophomore Justine Hunt ()20:51.0) was 28th, freshman Bailey Chenevey (21:15.9) took 36th, freshman Emma Carpenter (21:39.1) finished 40th, and freshman Paxton Oberhaus (22:08.0) placed 44th.

The Oilers will be back in action again on Sep. 17 at the All-Ohio Championship in Cedarville, Ohio.
