New Court Design Completes Croy Renovation

Findlay, OH – The University of Findlay athletic department is excited to announce that Croy Gymnasium, built on campus in 1969, will receive another upgrade this summer. This portion of the gym's renovation involves a complete redesign of the court to match last year's project which introduced grey on the gym walls as well as black bleachers, with a bright orange reserve section, and new signage. The new court installation will begin on May 16 and is scheduled to be completed in June.

The first thing fans will notice about the new court design is the decidedly different color of the surface. Most of the court will be stained a light grey while everything inside the three-point line will be a slightly darker grey. The key and free-throw line area will all be painted black and will have the secondary 'OILERS' logo painted in black with orange outlines. Surrounding the court will be a black border with 'FINDLAY' painted on the end lines facing the middle of the floor where, in bright Findlay orange, is the primary logo of the University of Findlay athletics. Creating the boundaries will be white lines which help create a clean and modern look.

"In order to complete the two-year Croy renovation project, we turned to the creativity of our administrative staff and our coaches", said University of Findlay Athletics Director Brandi Laurita. "Through their collaborative efforts, we have developed a new floor design that will match the aesthetics that now make Croy a one-of-a-kind experience for our student-athletes and fans".

Laurita realizes that this project would not have been possible without the help of OilerNation, whose name graces the west wall of the gym.

"I'd like to thank the generous supporters who have helped make our vision a reality."
