Bio

Troy Berry serves as the director of tickets and concessions at Findlay.  He also served ten years as the UF head baseball coach.

Berry retired from coaching in 2013 as the Oilers all-time leader in wins with 211.  He coached the Oilers to the GLIAC Championship twice during his tenure with the program, reaching the finals in 2005 and again in 2008.

The Oilers awarded Berry his first collegiate victory on March 2, 2004 in a 3-1 win over Missouri Southern. They also recorded a double-header sweep over 2002 NCAA Division II Champions Southeastern Oklahoma and a 16-13 victory over NCAA Division I opponent Ball State University.

Berry was an assistant coach at Findlay for 11 seasons before taking over as head coach. He was in charge of outfielders and parts of the hitting aspects of the game. He coached four outfielders who were named NAIA first team and the 1994 team still holds the season record for batting average (.326).

As an outfielder for the Oilers from 1989-92, he was a four-time letter-winner. In 118 career games, he amassed a .326 batting average to go with 72 runs batted in. He ranks in the top ten in UF history for hits in a career, runs batted in and runs scored.

Originally from Warsaw, Ohio, Berry graduated from River View High School where he lettered in football and baseball. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis in journalism from UF in 1992 and went on to get his master’s degree in education from Findlay in 1999.

Berry resides in Findlay with his wife, Dawn. They have two children, Nicholas and Madison.
